The Saber-Tooth Cat Skeleton is constructed out of steel, brass and copper. I used a wire welder, torch and carious grinders. The legs are made out of pipe and solid bar with steel added to create the shape of the bones. The ribs and vertebrae are made out of solid bar and steel added and grinded to shape. The skull is made out of solid bar with steel added and grinded to shape the skull. After I finished grinding the skeleton, I melted brass and copper to achieve the color of aged bones. The base is made out of flat steel to simulate rocks of shale. After the base and car were welded together, the brass and copper were melted in. O painted a clear coate of finish to brighten and preserve the piece.
